Yellow River

The Yellow river is located in Qinghai, China. It originates from the northern slope of the majestic Bayankera Mountains in Qinghai Province, and flows to the Bohai sea. The Yellow River is notable for the large amount of silt it carries and the Ochre Yellow coloured water. The Chinese refer to the Yellow River as “The Mother River” and "the Cradle of Chinese Civilization". That is because the Yellow River was the birthplace of ancient Chinese civilizations in the Xia (2100–1600 BC) and Shang (1600–1046 BC) eras — the most prosperous region in early Chinese history.

Himalayan Mountains

The Himalayan Mountains are located South-West of central China. Ranging over 2,414km2. 30 to 50 million years in different stages the Indian Plate has collided with the Eurasian Continental Plate to form the Himalaya Mountains. The Himalayas is the highest mountain range in the world with its highest peak standing at 8,848 m (Mt Everest). Some of the other high peaks like K2 stand at around 8,611m. Although some of the highest peaks aren't in China exactally. The Himalayan Mountains still bring alot of tourism for China mainly South-East China.
